Happy Birthday, Ben! I feel like this is a eulogy or something because so many people are saying to many wonderful things about you. How great to be reminded of such special people and times. You were certainly one of my first friends in Lexington, one of the "cool guys" who kept me coming back to contra, and remained one of my closest. I have so many memories, some more pleasant than others, of late nights playing telephone pictionary, waltzing, listening to music, or finding afterparties that shouldn't have been. You are a playful and pensive friend... with ridiculous stories on any topic. I'm glad you were born 30 years ago!

Benjamin Bryant! 30 years! Happy Birthday! We're so glad that we made it back to Kentucky for Phil & Tara's going away party in August. Even though we hadn't seen you for a while (a year?), our friendship was as easy and comfortable as it had ever been. We love you! We love who you are, how you choose to live your life, your computer expertise/obsession, how you spend your time, your really comfy mattress, your hospitality, how you used to do innumerable pull-ups (we wish we could do more than 1), your ability on the dance floor to make your partner feel like they are good at dancing, your storytelling skills, the list could easily go on. We are lamenting the unlikelihood that you and Alyssum will be moving to New Haven next. If only we could be so lucky.......We say this at 30 years and we'll say it again at 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, and 90 years: we love you on your birthday and everyday. Ben, you are wonderful.
